Dr. Matthew Kraft, Department of Education, is seeking research assistants to collaborate with him on one or more of several ongoing research projects. Prof. Kraft’s research interests include the economics of education, education policy analysis, and applied quantitative methods for causal inference. His primary work focuses on policies to improve educator and organizational effectiveness in K-12 urban public schools.
This position is open to Brown undergraduates and graduate students only. Brown students with strong applied quantitative skills are encouraged to apply, but quantitative skills are not required. Applicants must have the ability to work independently and be self-directed. Strong writing and editing skills are a plus. Applicants from historically underrepresented groups are strongly encouraged to apply.
